What’s Your Resolution? A New Beginning?

We’ve all had them. And I mean “had” in the past tense. Those vague, foggy, pie-in-the-sky promises that next year will be different. I know I have. We all know what we really need to be doing. We all know the drill. Get in good shape, eat better, save money, and be more mindful.

We also know why we fail. We fail to plan the details. We go too big. We think of the end result instead of the process. Instead of your goal being “lose weight,” say that you’ll lose three pounds per month by doing (insert detailed specific plan here). That plan could be exercising four times per week at 30 minutes each. You will weight train for those days and do 30 minutes of cardio on the other days. After one month you will increase your time to 45 minutes.

Get in the weeds, get detailed, and write it down.

That’s what I want to do here, on this site. I’ve had the opportunity to receive messages from many of you about training, diet, motivation, cancer treatment, military experiences, and all kinds of other things. It’s been truly an honor and I am humbled every time I get feedback from you.

I want to be more consistent with this site. I want to write at least weekly giving out advice, passing on my experiences, and learning from you. I want to know what’s holding you back, and what you need to push yourself that extra inch, and ultimately help you become successful.

With that said, send me a message, leave a comment, or just share this post and site with someone you know. Let’s do this together.

Thank you for all the wonderful messages and I hope to hear from you in the new year.

Happy lifting!

  1. Hey Brad,

I would enjoy seeing more nutrition and fitness content like you used to do in the past.

I have implemented many of your strategies into my own routine but not sure what you’re doing as of late to continue building muscle and staying healthy.

    Thanks,
    Nick
