Strength Coaching, Learning New Things, and Lessons From Cancer

As a few of you know I write a few articles for Primer Magazine from time to time. In the last month or so I’ve written three that I think are worth sharing in case you missed them. From things I’ve learned in my formal education and strength coaching advice to lessons learned from my cancer journey and how it relates to my time in the gym I’ve linked it all below. I hope you find some value there and thanks again for stopping by.

The first is the lessons learned while earning my Master’s degree. I dispel some of my hard-held beliefs and glean some insight into how things really are regarding training and diet.

The next is simply a list of things I would recommend if I were your strength and conditioning coach. Nothing fancy, just cold, hard training and nutrition advice.

Lastly, I wrote about how the lessons learned in the gym prepared me for cancer treatment. I know everyone’s journey is unique, but I do think there are some universal principles to draw from.

I hope you get a little out of them. If so, let me know your thoughts in the comments. Happy lifting!
